TRADICIONES CON LA FAMILIA

The word tradition by definition is ”the transmission of customs or beliefs from generation to generation”. This simple word can hold a lot of meaning and memories behind it for a lot of families and communities all around the world. Traditions can be anything and everything, whether that is having a game night every month or taking a family trip. Traditions can come from any period in time. Far, far into the past, or as early as … now; it is never too late to start a tradition.

A tradition that we have in my family is going to Mexico once a year to visit our loved ones. I know plenty of families can relate to this. Most of my family is in another country. It is a privilege to be able to travel and see them, even if it is only once a year. This is a tradition my family has engaged in since they migrated to the States and it is an event I would not miss.

You can also have a tradition amongst yourself, you do not always have to be with others. Some examples are going out for frozen yogurt when you ace a test, buying a little souvenir when you travel, or participating in a marathon of some sort. It could be anything!
